How can I book a car with Klass Wagen?

The most convenient way to book a car with Klass Wagen is directly through our official website: www.klasswagen.com. Our website offers a user-friendly interface to select your desired vehicle, dates, and locations. Alternatively, you can contact our friendly Booking department for assistance. Klass Wagen vehicles are also available on various car rental comparison websites. If you choose to book through a third-party site, please ensure you thoroughly review their specific terms and conditions, as these may differ from Klass Wagen’s direct booking policies and could lead to confusion.

What documents do I need to rent a car?

To rent a car from Klass Wagen, you will need the following documents:

• Identification: A valid form of identification, such as a national ID card or passport.

• Driver’s License: A valid national driver’s license. If your license was issued outside the European Union, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may also be required. Please check local regulations for your rental country.

• Credit Card: A major credit card (Visa or Mastercard) issued in the name of the main driver. Please note that we do NOT accept credit cards belonging to spouses, relatives, or any individual other than the person signing the rental contract. Cash payments, digital cards, and American Express cards are also not accepted.

Modifying/Canceling a Booking

I pre-paid for a future booking but now I need to cancel it. When can I get my money back?

Klass Wagen’s cancellation policy for pre-paid bookings is as follows:

• Cancellation more than 48 hours before pick-up: You are eligible for a refund. This refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. Cancellation fee is €30.

• Cancellation less than 48 hours before pick-up: In this scenario, a voucher will be issued for the amount paid for the selected extra services. Extra services represent any other paid service in addition to the rental fee.

To cancel your reservation, please send an email to our Booking department or use the "Cancel" link provided in the "Manage my booking" email you received upon confirmation.

Age & Driver Requirements

How old should I be to rent a car from Klass Wagen?

Klass Wagen has specific age and driving experience requirements that vary by country. Please review the details below for your rental location:

General Requirements (All Countries):

• The main driver and any additional drivers must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months.

Romania and Portugal:

• Standard Rental: Minimum age is 23 years old.
• Inexperienced Driver Fee: Applies if the driver is 18 or 19 years old OR has held a driver's license for less than 12 months.
• Young Driver Fee: Applies if the driver is between 20 and 22 years old (inclusive) and has held a valid driver's license for more than 12 months.
• Senior Driver Fee: Applies if the driver is 70 years or older and has held a driver’s license valid for more than 12 months.

Hungary and Austria:

• Standard Rental: Minimum age is 23 years old.
• Inexperienced Driver Fee: Applies if the driver has held a driver’s license valid for less than 12 months.
• Young Driver Fee: Applies if the driver is between 21 and 22 years old (inclusive) and has held a driver’s license valid for more than 12 months.
• Specific Vehicle Types: For vehicles with automatic transmission, 7- or 8-seater vehicles, and cargo vans, drivers must be at least 25 years old and have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience. Drivers between 23 and 25 with 2+ years of experience can rent these types by paying the Young Driver Fee (€12/day).
• Senior Driver Fee: Applies if the driver is 70 years or older and has held a driver’s license valid for more than 12 months.
  

Vouchers & Discounts

I have a discount voucher from Klass Wagen. How can I use it?

You can apply your Klass Wagen discount voucher in several ways:

1. Online at Checkout: Enter the discount code directly on the checkout page of www.klasswagen.com before finalizing your booking.
2. Through our Booking Department: Contact our Booking team, provide them with your discount code, and they will assist you in applying it to a new reservation.
3. At the Pick-up Station: If you have chosen to pay upon arrival, you can present your discount voucher at the rental station when you pick up your car.

I have a discount voucher. When does it expire?

Klass Wagen credit vouchers, typically issued for cancellations, do not have an expiration date. They can be used in any of our operating countries, regardless of where they were originally issued. However, promotional codes, which are usually part of seasonal campaigns, have a specific validity period. Please refer to the terms and conditions of the specific promotional campaign for its expiration date.
